03 November 2010Response to the European Commission’s Questionnaire on the E-Commerce DirectiveIn this response, we argue that the E-commerce Directive – and particularly the "country of origin" principle set out within the Directive - has been of vital importance to the advertising community as it has allowed firms to more easily promote and advertise their goods and services across borders. Our clear position is that there is no need to review this Directive as the UK’s e-commerce market is a success story and that there is no concern about low e-commerce take-up in the UK.Read the paper...
