A lively debate in the House of Commons last night saw Jo Swinson MP and Jackie Schneider (Sustain) propose the motion that advertising makes people too fat and too thin. Opposed by Charlie Snow (DLKW) and Fru Hazlitt (ITV) on behalf of the industry, the debate saw some lively contributions from the floor - including representatives from BEAT, Unilever (Dove's Real Women campaign), AA, IPA, the general public and assembled marketers. The motion was defeated, and a full transcript will appear here shortly.
