Policy & research

Part of our role is to represent the UK Advertising Industry to policy-makers in Westminster, Whitehall, the Devolved Assemblies, and Brussels, bridging the gap between the industry and government.

Many of the issues we face are related to complex societal concerns - alcohol, obesity, and the welfare of children, for example.  We inform policy decisions and contribute research papers in order to ensure the benefits and value of advertising and the efficacy of self-regulation are taken into account.

Our link to Credos, the industry think-tank with a mission to 'understand advertising' helps us to speak with authority and to support our advocacy with high-quality research.
