The Advertising Association promotes the role and rights of responsible advertising and its value to people, society, businesses and the economy. We represent UK advertisers, agencies, media owners and tech companies on behalf of the entire industry, acting as the connection between industry professionals and the politicians and policy-makers.

A A A

The Advertising Association focuses on major industry and policy areas that have huge ramifications on UK advertising. This section contains our work around public health, gambling advertising, data and e-privacy, trust, the digital economy and more.

Credos is the advertising industry’s independent think tank. It produces research, evidence and reports into the impact and effectiveness of and public and political response to advertising on behalf of UK advertisers in order to enable the industry to make informed decisions.

Front Foot is our industry’s member network of over 90 businesses across UK advertising. It aims to promote the role of responsible advertising and its value to people, society and the economy through a coalition of senior leaders from advertisers, agencies and media owners.

We run a number of events throughout the year, from our annual LEAD summit to the Media Business Course and regular breakfast briefings for our members. We are also the official UK representative for the world’s biggest festival of creativity – Cannes Lions.

timeTo launches festive ad campaign

The timeTo campaign to end sexual harassment in the advertising industry has developed a new short film to mark the start of the UK advertising industry’s Christmas Office Party season. The aim of the film, created with the support of Lucky Generals and directed by Steve Reeves at Another Film Co, is to ask bystanders witnessing sexual harassment what action they should take.

The film is part of timeTo’s drive to make the Christmas party season across the industry a safe and enjoyable time for all. The campaign follows recent research from Credos which shows 70% of sexual harassment goes unreported while one in ten respondents from timeTo endorsing companies had experienced sexual harassment during the past twelve months. Growing our exports

Over 100 representatives from businesses across the UK advertising and marketing services landscape crowded into the IPA on Wednesday for the launch of the UK Advertising Export Group (UKAEG) – a new Government-backed global marketing and business development drive for our industry.

Members of UKAEG will enjoy a host of benefits through joining, from being part of industry’s online showcase, to networking opportunities and by being included in the forthcoming Government Export Accelerator. Read more on the event here and for more information on how to join UKAEG, contact AA Commercial Director Sharon Lloyd Barnes.
